Studied turfgrass science in college and later worked as laborer at the Monsanto chemical plant in Pensacola, Fla.
Played a couple of mini-tours in late-1990s, winning multiple times on the DP Tour and Emerald Coast Tour
Played high school golf with PGA Tour member Heath Slocum at Milton High, the same school that also produced PGA Tour member Bubba Watson
Lists Ben Hogan as his hero
Both PGA Tour wins have come at Habour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C., at the Verizon Heritage
