Interest in golf stemmed from attending the 1978 U.S. Open at Cherry Hills Country Club outside of Denver

All-American at UCLA from 1986-88

Member of NCAA Division I title team at UCLA in 1988

Finished first on Canadian Tour Order of Merit in 1990, winning the British Columbia Open

Second on Asian Tour Order of Merit in 1994 and third in 1993

Also played on the Japan Tour in 1995 and '96

Has 11 international victories, but still looking for his first on PGA Tour

Granted a Major Medical Extension for 2008; missed most of 2007 season due to a freak home accident suffered in November 2006; he severed the tip of his left index finger and the base of his left thumb after a broom handle broke while sweeping the garage

Underwent season-ending surgery after trying to play in five events
