Funny

by Ken Klavon   USGA

Have to share my laugh of the day. When each media member checks in for a credential, their photo is plastered on the plastic badge for, obviously, security reasons. Sometime in April there was a credential deadline in which you submit your mug shot.

Well, I didn't have two mug shots for two of my staff. Being the creative type, I decided to grab a mug shot of Chim-Chim, the monkey from Speed Racer, and Pufnstuf from the popular 1970s kids show H.R. PufnStuf. Well, lo and behold, Thomas Hackett (one of my writers) walks over today and tells me security has been giving him a hard time getting around. Hmmm. Then he shows me his badge, which features him as Chim-Chim.

One of our other editors, the esteemed Myra Gelband, formerly of Sports Illustrated, would be known as PufnStuf.

Made my day. Poor souls.

See, I do have a sense of humor after all.
