Return Engagement

by David Shefter   USGA

Just when you thought Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott had seen enough of each other over the last two days, the two world-class golfers are paired once again for Saturday's third round at the U.S. Open. Mickelson and Scott were part of the "super" grouping the first two days with World No. 1 Tiger Woods.

You wonder what more they can talk about. Maybe Phil can give Scott some insight into his favorite fast-food restaurant, a California specialty known as In-N-Out. Make sure he tries the Double-Double. Or perhaps they can have a post-round beverage at The Bridges in Rancho Santa Fe, where Mickelson now resides.

Anyhow, they tee off at 11:50 a.m. PDT, a full three hours before Woods goes off with Robert Karlsson in the penultimate pairing. That should give the gallery plenty of time to see all three.
