Playing Hooky

Looks like a lot of people called in sick to work today, judging by the large gallery watching the 18-hole playoff between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate. There's certainly a better turnout than Retief Goosen and Mark Brooks got in 2001 at Southern Hills.

Could have something to do with a certain No. 1 golfer being part of the festivities. Tiger Woods always attracts a crowd and the two have a nice following to decide this year's championship at Torrey Pines. You can bet a lot of people are watching from computer terminals and TV sets around the country as well.
